The Third Colossus

Image
Hello! As promised, I'm posting on the third Colossus from "Shadow of the Colossus". This one, as you can see below, is different from the previous ones. It is taller and slimmer, as well as equipped with a pillar of stone that resembles a sword and also has stone armor. With this one, things get more complicated, since there is no visble vital point due to the armor. The way you are supposed to defeat this Colossus is to get it to slam its massive pillar onto a circular patch of cement or something similar. This causes the strong looking armor to break and fall of, making it easier to latch onto the Colossus. I however, didn't think of this and instead shot arrows at its stomach, enraging it and allowing me to climb its weapon, rest on its armor, and attack its vital points, the first in the head, the second and last in its stomach. Finally, I'm going to rate this fight, each category being from 1-10 where 1 is 'piece of cake'and 10 is 'nearly imp...

"The Fifth Wave"

Welcome! Although I said I'd be posting on "Shadow of the Colossus", I just had to tell you guys about this book. You have probably heard about it, but here's what I think about Rick Yancey's "The Fifth Wave". This book was incredible, the was written, the characters' personality, the story, everything. My only complaint about it is that it ended, I'm not kidding. The book was very descriptive of everything, the environment, characters, senses, feelings, and views. The author managed to convey different characters' thoughts and feelings accurately enough that I as the reader felt as if I was in that world, where I didn't really know what was going on, where I couldn't trust anyone, where my home planet was being invaded and my family was gone. There is a second part to this book that I'm currently reading and will post on it as soon as I finish it as well as a third one. In case you are interested in the second book, it'...

The second Colossus

Hi! Continuing from the first Colossus, here is the briefing on the second one: Your second encounter with an enemy happens next to a body of water that is close to the temple where you start and its bridge. This time, you can ride your horse to battle, but I didn't do it. Why? The first vital point of this Colossus is the bottom of its feet, which are not lifted much when the beast moves making the act of exploiting that particular vulnerability a particularly hard one for me since I had to hit it with an arrow and my aim is horrible. The other two vital points were at its butt and its head. You again have to repeatedly stab at its weak points and a similar cut-scene plays once the enemy is defeated. The head of the second Colossus, Cuadaratus, and its vital point, which is releasing blue aura. Again using the scale, (the one from 1-10 in which 1 was 'piece of cake' and 10 was 'nearly impossible') here are the ratings I give to the second Colossu...

The first Colossus

Welcome back! As promised, here is a briefing of the fight with the first Colossus: This is the first Colossus (obviously) and enemy you encounter, therefore it is quite simple to defeat. The first ting you have to do is to get to the location of the Colossus, a simple task. The place you have to go is very close to the starting point and using your horse, you get there extremely fast. Close to the Colossus, you have to ditch your horse, Agro, and are forced to climb. Once you are done climbing, a cut-scene plays, and the fight begins. To kill him, you have to target the left calf to get the Colossus to kneel, and then swiftly climb onto his back before he stands up.  From there, things get more complicated since the Colossus is trying to knock you down because it knows you are trying to get to its head, the other vital point. After stabbing him there repeatedly, the Colossus dies and a final cut-scene is played. The first Colossus, aka Valus Using the scale desc...

"Shadow of the Colossus"

Welcome back! Today, I will be letting you guys know that I'm planning on uploading several posts on "Shadow of the Colossus" for the PS4. The first 7 posts will come one after the other, with very small intervals without posts since I have already defeated them. The others, however, will not be as immediate since I will write them as I go. In the following posts I will briefly explain how to defeat the Colossi and rate each one's difficulty using the following scale: Difficulty finding Colossus: How hard it was to find the location of the Colossus. (From 1-10, where 1 is 'piece of cake' and 10 is 'nearly impossible') Difficulty exploiting primary vulnerability: How hard it was for me to find and attack the first vulnerability of the Colossus, the one used to get on the Colossus to deal major damage. (From 1-10, where 1 is 'piece of cake' and 10 is 'nearly impossible) Difficulty defeating the Colossus: How hard it was to keep hold...

Greetings!

Hi! As you probably read, my name is Patricia, and in this blog I'll be sharing all of my adventures with you, whatever they may be. However, I will be trying to focus on the video games that I have, am, and will be playing as well as any books that I have particularly enjoyed, since these are some of my favorite hobbies. None the less, I might occasionally post on scientific discoveries as well because I LOVE science. I would also like to apologize ahead of time if there are some long stretches of time during which I don't post, I am a school student who naturally has some moments of schoolwork overload. In the meantime though, I hope I'll be able to post on a regular basis. Thanks, and I hope that you will come back soon!
